The departure point for SS/18 was a recent trip to India and clear desire for stronger colors, namely red, fuchsia and orange.
Satin, cotton, silk and sheer textures are key within the styles, as well as an exclusive print, which Seghers introduces for the first time. Skin is more present, too, mainly through the use of subtle cut-outs, revealing mesh or semi-transparent cotton. Ruching details also punctuate the silhouette elegantly, softening the sharp lines of her coats and jackets.
This season, the skirt is an ongoing focus, from a long printed version with playful slashes to shorter styles revealing the leg. Seghers offers sleek basics made out of crisp jersey, which feature signature details, looking for new ways to twist simplicity.
Gathered fabric and sporty drawstrings add an urban edge to everyday shapes, allowing women to adapt their clothes to changing circumstances.
